The 5 Layers of Lasting Change
The Medina Mindshift Method moves through five distinct layers. You don't rush through them. You settle into each one until you're ready for the next. Some clients move quickly. Others need more time in certain layers. Both are perfectly normal.
Here's what each layer looks like: and what you can expect to experience.
Layer 1: Foundation
Focus: Safety, clarity, grounding
Client experience: "I feel settled and understood."
Before any deep work happens, you need to feel safe. Not just physically safe: but emotionally safe enough to be honest, to slow down, and to let your guard down a little.
What Happens in Coaching Conversation
- Clarify what you're experiencing right now
- Put words to feelings and patterns that have been hard to name
- Identify what you want to feel or handle differently
- Normalize your experience without labeling it as a problem
